Copper cathodes
Main characteristics

- Copper content— 99,99% minimum;
- 2 sizes of copper cathodes 860 х 1000 мм and 870 х 1000 мм;
- delivered in stacks with a weight of 1200-2000 kg.
Copper cathodes are manufactured by unsupported process of copper deposition on permanent titanic or stainless steel blank cathode plates during electrolytic refining of copper. Due to the process and three-stage washing of the residuum, the cathode copper is of high purity. Copper cathodes are intended for production of deformed semi-finished products (bars, wire rod) made of copper and copper alloys.
The chemical composition of the copper cathodes corresponds to the Russian highest grade of copper М00к according to GOST 859-2014.

- Sum of Bi, Se, Te does not exceed 0.0003%, as well as the maximum content of the sum of Se and Te does not exceed 0.00030%.
- Sum of Cr, Mn, Sb, Cd, As, P does not exceed 0.0015%.
- Sum of Sn, Ni, Fe, Si, Zn, Co does not exceed 0.0020%.
- Total sum of specified impurities does not exceed 0.0065%.
- Mass fraction of oxygen for М00к grade copper is stipulated by contract.
- The sign “-” means that the element is not specified.
Product form and packaging
Cathodes are produced in double cathode form, bottom-connected, average weight of 75 kg, dimensions (4..6)х860х1000 mm. or (4..6)х870х1000 mm. excluding catenary
Copper cathodes are packed with a spacing section in shipping stacks of 1200 to 2000 kg (±2%) average weight. The stack is wrapped with 4 steel shipping straps.
The spacing section made of copper that corresponds to the М00к grade quality, as it is an integral part of the final shipping product — copper cathodes.
The top corner of the upper cathode sheet in the shipping stack and the top corner of the cathode sheet that lays under the copper spacing section is marked (in the English and Russian languages) with the following data: manufacturer, product name, copper grade, date of production, cell group number, outloading date, GOST indication, stack number, net weight, gross weight, trademark, barcode.
