The first kilos of kyshtym commercial foil departed to the customer
The very first batch of electrodeposited copper foil manufactured at the Kyshtym Copper Electrolytic Plant is intended for one of the Russian plants specializing in the production of batteries, including lithium-ion one. Foil with a thickness of 50 microns is manufactured on an ED cell launched in early March, which not only outputs a copper roll, but also applies a special anti-corrosion coating to it. Such products do not need to be processed on a Treater.
The weight of the first batch is small for objective reasons: the customer plans to examine the foil in his laboratory and in the production process. If the quality of the goods meets expectations, a contract for regular deliveries will be awarded.
A small roll is packed in a wooden container with the symbols of the Russian Foil plant and links to the website about foil, where one can find contacts of the JSC KMEZ managers. Special boxes with laser cut were manufactured by the Remservice LLC. The first batch has been shipped to the customer, and Kyshtym foil is already expected to be shipped in Lipetsk and the city of Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk region.
Meanwhile, the Copper Foil Electrodeposition division of the Kyshtym Copper Electrolytic Plant continues its operation in the commissioning mode. In the near future, the Treater should be launched, and then the operation of the entire technological chain will have to be adjusted.
